Very important: Only enable a maximum of 5 - 6 codes at a time. By using more than the recommended amount, all codes will stop working immediately. Some of these codes saves to Game-Pak, disable them as soon as they have saved, and then enable a new set of codes. The following codes saves to Game-Pak: 9, 10, 11, 12
Also very important: X-plorer 64: DO NOT enable the In-Game Trainer, by doing this, you WILL  be faced with a black screen. If you are faced with a black screen, you must start up with another game, let this game boot, turn off, then put back Zelda: MM, again, and this time, remember to leave the In-Game Trainer OFF !!
