Xplorer 64 upgrade and code management software!

Post by loek555 » Sunday, 19 Sep 2004, 13:27

OK people...
Long time ago when I was (also) a beginning Xplorer 64 user, I needed to wait or look for days, weeks, months or sometimes years to get the right software or codes.

What I'm saying is you guys don't need to do that anymore...Well the thing about software for the Xplorer 64 a.ka. Xploder 64, anyway.

They are now at your disposal.
Just reply to this topic and you can now upgrade your Xplorer 64 v. 1.000 to version 1.067, all by yourself!
And I have some software too, that are able to manage your codes on your Xplorer 64, this means no more long typing session!
Just ask...I'll do the rest!

Greetings to all!

I finally managed to get hold of an Xplorer 64 today, and it is version 1.067E (with a date of Fri May 5 23:42:59 BST 2000), but it doesn't have codes for Perfect Dark and so on.

Anyway, please send me any software you have for the Xplorer 64 / Xploder 64.
My e-mail address is: ewgf 1 ewgf 2 freeserve co uk

(just replace "1" with "@" and "2" with ".", and then replace the spaces with "." as well).

Thanks.

BTW: I just want to add this little info: In case you, or other users, doesn't know already-
When you upgrade an Xplorer 64 / Xploder 64, all the codes that's already on it, will will permanently deleted, and replaced with codes from the new software.
The old data / codes can not be restored.

SOME warnings in them.

Are you sure ...You must RIGHT click the second link and choose "save target as..."

I tested it again and it works and no the file wasn't corrupt.
Try again and when it still doesn't work...then I'll find another solution.

Loek is right.. I've just tested the link myself, and it works 100% . Maybe you've forgotten to *right-click* on your mouse :?: .. It's kinda easy to make that mistake, as it's usually the *left-click* function that's being used mostly.

I could do that but I need a "pop"-e-mail adress and not one like Hotmail or Yahoo or any other of that kinds...I don't how you call those e-mail adresses from hotmail , yahoo etc etc...?????

So just give me your "pop" e-mail adress and the software is yours too..
Unless...
Say Kai... is it possible to download the file from your site?

I think your webmaster can give it a try...I cannot put it on your site.
I need a login for the webspace then.

No...not really.
Just warn the users who wants to use the miscellaneous software, that they must be careful in using these software, use at own risk, etc. etc. etc.
Nothing special, Like I said.

In the link you gave to download, there is a program to create your own ROMS, does this work with the Xploder 64 connected to your PC or do you need the Xplorer 64 inserted, to the N64 with, the game inserted and the power on, whilst its connected to your PC?

Ok...I would need the name of the program...I'll check out what you must do. (It's a long time since I used those programs, sorry).
