Pokemon & Perfect Dark

Post by Burb » Wednesday, 09 Nov 2005, 6:51

Hello, it's been a very long time since I was active on the forums here.
( Back in the days when this site were only for the Xplorer64, and didn't have NGC gamesaves. )

Anyway, I just recently got over a copy of Pokemon Stadium 2, and as I always want to try my games out with cheats for the fun of it.. I came to this site again. :)

So on the Pokemon Stadium 2 section, I can not see any (M) code for the Xplorer64.
Does that simply mean that the codes there are to be used with Equalizer or AR only, and not the XP-64?

I tried the codes on there too, but they didn't work with my version of the game.
( PAL/Bought in Sweden. )
Are there maybe more than one version of this game such as some games have codes for V1.0, V1.1 and so on.

Or like I suspect, that no one has any codes for XP64?

In any case, I can not get the codes to work with my upgraded version of the XP64. ( 1.067 ? )

I think that I used bootmode 2, in any case, I got the game to boot without any problems.

Oh, and the preview button doesn't seem to work on these forums.

Back in the days that this site were for Nintendo 64 and X-Plorer 64 + Action-Replay only, you mean

for Pokémon Stadium 2, it says "None Available" where the (M) Must Be On Code should have been... But, you could try using this one:
(Boot Mode 2 is the correct one for this game)

3FFFFFFF 0002
2A00B680 0000
2A00B682 0000
2A07A374 0000
2A07A376 0000
2A0852F0 0000
2A0852F2 0000

If the above doesen't work; try and replace all the "2A" with "2C"
In both cases, leave the X-Plorer 64's In-Game Trainer OFF

That's exactly what I mean yes.

3FFFFFFF 0002
Same code as on Stadium 1 then.
Together with some other codes.

Anyway, I think I read somewhere here that using an incorrect (M) code can result in damaging the device, is that true?
Either way, it's not the first time I've been unsure on the (M) code and the I haven't had any problems with the device then so..
I tried both 2A and 2C, and neither worked together with the One Hit Kill-code.

Well.. (M) codes are not to be fooled around with, but whether or not they can actually harm your game, I cannot say for sure.

If you have had the In-Game Trainer enabled, you must put in another game in your X-Plorer 64 and boot up. Similar to a game like 007: T.W.I.N.E. http://www.kai666.com/games/007_theworld.htm

This will, kind of, reset the X-Plorer 64

If the preview feature doesen't work for you, you can always "EDIT" you post later if needed

Well, I never use the in-game-trainer anyway.
Yes, I always edit my posts, either you notice that you've spelled something wrong. Or you add something that you forgot to type in at first..

So, no clue about a working (M) code then?
Or maybe the one-hit-kill code doesn't work for the xp64?

I'm sure that the One-Hit Kill works for the X-Plorer 64 as the X-Plorer 64 can take advantage of the same ordinary codes as the Action-Replay / Equalizer.. So it must be the (M) Must Be On Code that courses the problem.

BTW: How many N64 games do you actually have ?

My account works again kai, thanks..

I don't have so many games:

Mario Kart 64
Super Mario 64 x 2
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask
Perfect Dark
Pokemon Stadium 2

I think that was all but I'm not entirely sure.
I might have forgotten something.

Ok.. Just great..
I was particular curious about codes #5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 for Perfect Dark
(remember to carefully reading and following the instructions given for this game)

You can't see which version for a certain game that you have. In order to find out, simply try and enable 1 code (remember the M Code) and then see whether it works or not, really, that's all there's to it....

I'll suggest that you try the Moon Jump code for Zelda

Now that you mention the Moon Jump codes, I recall that I have used that code a couple of times, so yes.
I haven't tried the PD-codes you mention, because I have already cleared the game 100%, all cheats unlocked, all solo-missions cleared, co-op done, all challenges done 1-4 players etc.
But the great thing about PD is that it lets you write a backup to your memory pak..
