Excellent :!:

I have taken the liberty of converting the code into 8-bit
801264D8 0056
801264DC 0003
801264DD 00FF
801264DE 00FF
801264DF 00F3

But God dammit.. I can't make T.T. save to Game-Pak :cry:
I have now been spending hours, to make it all work, and I now remember, that I wasen't quite happy with my codes... This game is very complex and very sensitive, 1 digit (value) to high or it simply won't work 100%... (Still working on it)

Are you saying that T.T doesn't save to your game pak when you use the these codes??

I made this along time ago but i remeber that it worked for me.

Maybe you need the other version codes?

As you can see; The codes are for version 1.0
http://www.kai666.com/cheat-codes-N64/d ... cing10.htm

2 of the addresses in your code are the same, as in my code..
Everything else saves.. but it's very often a problem with games that saves onto the Game Pak, instead of a Controller Pak.

Updated codes for Diddy Kong Racing (not finished yet)

How did you actually manage to unlock T.T.
Did you hack a 'Freeze Timer' code :?:

Oh i just remembered that the extra features DON'T save to controller pak (only to the gamepak)

I did it the hard way, i beat him for real. 8)

This is what i did.

1] I backed-up my adventure 1 (& 2) saved files to controller pak (as i had beaten the game without using an AR...)

2] I then erased the whole game pak data!
To have nothing completed. Fresh values.

3] Next i beat T.T starting with the first race.

4] Searched greater than

5] Then erased the whole game then searched less than

6] Then beat him again on the 1st track.

7] I saw the value that i thought it was in my searching. Changed it and the T.T symbol next to the course data, (which confirms that you have beaten T.T on that particular course) was appearing and re-appearing. So i knew it was right to unlock T.T.

8] Each time, i watched what values changed in the memory editor each time i beat T.T on all the other courses.

9]After unlocking T.T i re-loaded my adventure one save from my controller pak to gamepak. Then beat Wizpig got Adventure Two opened. (Then i beat Adventure Two - i think)

10] Wrote all the final values from the memory addresses.

I See... very clever.. Maybe your code will be working, with my ammended codes, but one thing that puzzles me, is that the address 801264D8: 08
(08 = default, w/o anything unlocked) address increases automatically, every time you make any kind of progress in the game. Also, when the 'Adventure Two Mode' and 'Drumstick' are unlocked, they will stay unlocked, no matter how many times you delete your Game Files :!:

These addresses / values are default, after the 'Adv. Two Mode' + 'Drumstick' has been unlocked: :arrow: Version 1.0 :!:

801264D8: 0B 00 00 00 03 00 00 03
801264F0: XX XX 03 08 00 00 00 00

801264D8 0056
801264DC 0003
801264DD 00FF
801264DE 00FF
801264DF 00F3

Note: the XX XX are just some japaneese text. These values are stable

BTW: Off Topic.. I would have expected some phantastic Omega Pirate Avatar from you :wink:

Well it was 3 years ago when i made the code and i remember now that i used the option under 'Save Options' [gamepak bonuses] ===> Erase) that is how you delete T.T, Adventure Two and Drumstick from the gamepak's saved data.

Ohh.. what I meant was that when T.T. is unlocked he must also be in-deleteable, unless using the method descriped by you..

2 Questions for you

Where can you see the lap records you have made :?:

Where does the T.T. icon appear, when you've beaten him the 2nd time :?:

kai666 wrote: Where can you see the lap records you have made :?:
Go to (Tracks Mode) press A-button once on any course and you'll see the lap records.
kai666 wrote: Where does the T.T. icon appear, when you've beaten him the 2nd time :?:
It appears at exactly the same place as the first question right where it says Vehicle

Default no bonuses
801264D8: 08 00 00 00 03 00 00 03

Beaten T.T on (1st course only) Dino Domain
801264D8: 09 00 00 00 03 00 00 10

If you start with this you only need to beat the first course T.T. (Ancient Lake)
801264D8: 55 00 00 00 03 FF FF E3

but you'd need to enter this via the memory editor (or disable it if it were a code, so when you pass the finish line it will activate T.T)

Is the first course Ancient Lake ? (and do I actually have to win) ?

Hmm.. But what does the the 801264F0 line says ? As default (nothing unlocked) it says: 801264F0: 80 0E 02 28 00 00 00 00

I tried to delete my Game-Pak Bonuses, then I used some of your codes, and unlocked Drumstick, turned of system and started again, with no codes enabled. Here's what the 801264D8 address then said......

801264D8: 3A 00 00 00 03 FF F3 02 (Only Drumstick was still unlocked (no Adv. Two or T.T.)*

And the 80126F0 address.....

80126F0: 80 0E 02 28 00 00 00 00

The 02 28 = default, no extras unlocked

BTW: How do you manage to beat T.T. so (seemingly) very easy :?:
I haven't been able to beat him just one time :oops:

the address 80126F0: 80 0E 02 28 00 00 00 00 is a pointer to something.. (i'm not too good with pointers..)
With all unlocked it shows 80 0E 03 08.

Yes, the first course is Ancient Lake.

There is a trick to go the fastest you can go. Tap the 'A' Button repeatedly and you will go top speed. Also try to collect the bananas as they increase the maximum speed slightly. And if you let go of the A button over speed boosts you get a longer boost. Tap A again after the smoke disappears.

And to get the T.T icon to register that you have beaten him on a course you need to set a good time first, then restart the race T.T shows up as a ghost and if you beat T.T you get the icon (and the Bonuses value changes)

T.T is easy on nearly every course, except for 2 hard ones.

I just tested my codes and they don't unlock T.T if you just use the memory editor..., so i think it's strange...
So you MUST make sure you boot up the game with the code on and it will work!

I erased game-pak bonuses but only Adventure Two was unlocked when i used my codes via Memory Editor.

11= Spacedust Alley
12= Greenwood Village
13= Boulder Canyon
14= Windmill Plains
15= (Front End) (FREEZE on real N64) (Supposed to be the Spinning N Logo) [On Emu: plays the Spinning N Logo w/Diddy then game stays at the Rareware logo which spins continuously, music still plays too which is cool!]
16= (Character Select Test) (FREEZE on real N64)
[On Emu: Stays at the Character select screen]
17= (RC Car Sequence) (NOT PLAYABLE on real N64) [On Emu: Plays cutscene with Diddy, Pipsy and Timber arriving at the Island emblazoned with Nintendo, then the character introductions play through (names don't pop up though...)

[On Emu: all you get is the flappy Trophy Race Flag...]
23= Future Funland
24= (Sequence Area) BETA (It's the Central Area with exits cut out)
25= Wizpig 1
26= Tricky 1
27= (Options Background) (On real N64: Just a Black screen, not a freeze so you can quit)[On Emu: works normal, 4 Butterflys flutter about, with sky background scrolling.)
28= Sherbet Boss 1
29= Dragon Boss
2A= Wizpig Mouth Seq NOT PLAYABLE BETA (N64 only: No big Wizpig Face! Different Pad - Blue with a yellow star - you only see half of the pad) [On Emu: works normal - Wizpig cutscene sequence plays (and then black screen can't exit as it's a cutscene)]
2B= Ammy Seq (Wizpig Amulet) NOT PLAYABLE on real N64 - Blue Screen only) [On Emu: works as normal]
2C= Stopwatch Ammy (T.T Amulet) NOT PLAYABLE on real N64 - Blue Screen only) [On Emu: works as normal]
2D= Rocket Seq (Beta Rocket Area!) on real N64 can play in part of the area that this cutscene takes place [On Emu: works as normal Lighthouse Rocket takes off to Future Funland)

30= Trophy Race - Snowflake Mountain
31= Trophy Race - Sherbet Island

34= Walrus Boss 2
35= Octopus Boss 2 (Sherbet)
36= Dragon Boss 2
37= Wizpig 2
38= Party seq 1 (NOT PLAYABLE on real N64) [On Emu: Ending Party! 1st time you beat wizpig you'd get this ending with the characters having a party because wizpig has been beaten, he pops out from around his hiding spot, the Lighthouse, and breaks up the party, he had to say goodbye, he then terrorises them a bit more then beams up onto one of his space ships, which isn't really his size so he gets shrinked]
39= TrickTops Anim 1 PLAYABLE (You get the whole course!, no objects are loaded except for the top where the cutscene usually takes place, go to the top and have a look at the cool Tricky Stone Face)
3A= Dragon Boss Anim 1 PLAYABLE (You get the whole course! Can Drive throught the fences too)
3B= Walrus Boss Anim 1 PLAYABLE (You get Part of the course - if you go to the closed up part and try to"look through the wall", you'll see there are other course bits still there)
3C= Wizpig Anim 1 PLAYABLE (You get Part of the course)
3D= Octo Anim PLAYABLE (You get Part of the course)
3E= Wizspaceanim PLAYABLE (You get Part of the course) [On Emu: It's Future Funland Wizpig, who breaks through a wall, But Race doesn't start]
3F= Lastbit (NOT PLAYABLE on real N64) [On Emu: It's part 1 of the last cutscene for beating Wizpig 2!]
40= Lastbit (NOT PLAYABLE on real N64) [On Emu: It's the 2nd part of the Final Ending Sequence for beating Wizpig 2!! with Drumstick T.T. the stopwatch, Tricky, The Walrus Boss, Conker getting some serious air-time, the dragon boss which Timber gets to ride! Diddy Flying about and finally it focuses on the Golden Taj head, which replaces the usual Wizpig Head that genie didn't win the races how come he gets his head up there... Finally, it shows that wizpig isn't finished (so Rare leave DKR open for a sequel (which prob won't ever come.. :( (Donkey Kong Racing)...Screen stays black with Bird SFX)]

EMU ONLY
41= FREEZE on N64 [on Emu: starts you in the Central area (with an extra 8 balloons which is odd) In the lobby T.T options are altered Central Area is where lobby warps you too... Restart challenge takes you to the lobby...exiting back to the file select screen you'll see that your number of ballons has increased largely. if you had chosen file 3, files 1 & 2 will have been affected too. gives 50 balloons to file 2 and 3 and 96 ballons to file 1.

(Cutscenes only seem to work on emu only)

I thought that this code;
'All 4 parts of the T.T. time trial amulet' 80207E76 0004 took care of that problem :?:
