Doubts about the Xploder 64

Post by nocturne » Friday, 07 Mar 2008, 15:14

Hello everyone in this great forum! Kai666, thank you for your response. I have other doubts about the Xplorer 64 and are as follows:
You said that the first edition was yellow and that the last was orange. There is also a green. I have not yet seen that says "Xploder 64" and was not aware of it. You have it? You could put a picture to know him well. It can be used in a console NTSC? There was a version for America?

I am a great fan of the N64 and my favorite brand of video games is Nintendo. Excuse my poor English, but I speak Spanish. I use Google to translate.

Hi

If you're going to buy a Xplorer 64, I will suggest that you got one with the orange writing, and thereby getting a, relatively, new one.

No, I have never seen a Xplorer / Xploder where the name was spelled in green.

No, PAL games, can't be used in a NTSC console, and vice versa.

Just make sure that it's a version 1.067, and not the older, tiny, version 1.000. If it's an English (UK) version, and it turns out to be the small version 1.000, I will upgrade it, for you, to a version 1.067, for *free*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buy a new Xploder 64 here: http://classicvideogames.co.uk/

Xplorer 64 Bxd NEW

Price - £19.99 Condition - New! Region - PAL

Or try Google.com search engine, i typed in Xplorer64 and here's the results

http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&ie=UT ... 64&spell=1

If you wanna do the search on other sites, I suggest that you type in XP-64, like I did above, or try to spell it in 2 *two* words. like here:
"Xplorer 64"

If you do have an ordinary N64 (PAL) I believe that you CAN use the Xplorer 64!!

To see what version it is: When on the Xplorer 64's main menu; press the Z-trigger.

BTW: Nice collection of N64 games, you havde there.

Will this be the orange you say...

Image

The seller says they have a parallel port behind. This version will be 1.067?

Thank you for your offer Kai666, but I live too far from you. I live in the Dominican Republic, which is located in the Caribbean. We use the NTSC television format, not PAL. We leave this map if you have no idea of where I live:

Yes, that's the orange (brownish kind of colour) I was talking about. I had to take a glance at my own XP-64, sitting in my own N64, right behind me.

I see that you live really far away from Denmark. If you can locate Denmark on a map. Most people in the US, actuallu belives that Denmark is either the capitol city of Sweden, or part of the Netherlands.

Here's a map of Denmark
http://www.kai666.com/kai.html

Going south (Down) will bring you to Germany.

Going west (Left) will make you take a swim, across the sea to England

Going north (Up) will also makes you take a swim, and bring you to Norway.

Hello Kai ;) Unfortunately I could not win the XP64 with the letter orange, but I got the green that previously had won 8) (the photo that is in the post where I put my list of games). I use it on my TV, but, as everyone knows there are problems with the resolution but what I revised with a TV multi-region, and I can use it smoothly. My XP64 did not bring the option of "Code Generator." I will have to wait to buy a more modern to update it.

This is what appears when I press the button Z:

Code: Select all

Cartdrige Information

Xplorer N64 Version
(c)1997 / 9 FCD Release 1.000E
England

Build 1834
Compiled:
Mon Aug 16 12:10:59 BST 1999
1- The games that require the "Boot Modes" in the XP64, are the same as in the Game Shark / Action Replay / Game Buster use the "Key Codes"?

2- If I want to use a game NTSC that in its PAL version requires Boot Mode, I can use my XP64? Or just work with PAL games? (Also in the case of the Game Shark)

P.D.: I updated my list of games.

Yes, it's the small version 1.000, just as I expected.

Yes, XP-64 uses the word "Boot Mode" and Gameshark AR, uses the word "Key Code"

I'm not sure of what you'r asking about in question 2?

Try to explain as best as possible. To use the XP64 with the game Jet Force Gemini ~ PAL, I have to put the XP64 in the Boot Mode 4. This is my question: If I want to play JFG ~ NTSC with the XP64 only should I put it in Boot Mode 4 or not? The "Boot Modes" work only in games of the same region as the Cheat Device?

A game that requires a special Boot Mode in PAL version, will also require the same Boot Mode in the NTSC version of the game.

This will always be the same.

But you must, of course, have a NTSC XP-64.
